In Gainesville, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across Florida, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.

The good doctor pulled my implant and never x-rayed before he pulled it. Because of that, I got a bone infection in my jaw and had to have infusion therapy for over five weeks! This is not counting the surgery I had to go through before the infusion. Just 5K since my insurance would not cover it!! Not at all happy with Dr altschuler.

Took care of my mom who had bead gums due to medication use over years. Implant for my wife- good work and satisfied. And me a gum graft. Very good work, minimal pain and looking forward to a good result.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Horrible, horrible experience. Being told as a patient that you need to just endure as I am almost done - never the right approach. I was never apprehensive about the dentist until going to this place. I had a friend drive me here. She was horrified at how I looked when I left. Please, please do not go here.

Have had my phone number for close to a decade and never received phone calls from doctors offices. After Altschulers office went and put my phone number up on Google by mistake instead of their office number I receive phone calls from all over the country on a dialy basis and this week it has even progressed into me receiving text messages! This has been going on for more than 2 years now and I'm metlntaly drained and down with the whole situation. I use to be the nice guy and tell them the area code was wrong but after contacting the office close to a dozen times now I have given up and just ignore the phone calls. It amazes me this office doesn't seem to care they miss so many phone calls from other offices and clients. Hopefully this 1 star review will cause them to fix this problem but seeing as all my phone calls have done nothing I don't see them caring at all about their online rating.

Dr. Altschuler and his staff are great. I've had 2 implants and a few surgeries (under the gums). I go to his office for perio cleanings with Lisa because she's so good and spots problems easily. They're good at what they do and are nice people, as well.

I have had to undergo several procedures (bone grafting, sinus lifts and implants) and I am impressed every time! Dr. Altschuler is one of the best in his specialty and his bedside manner is amazing. He genuinely cares about his patients. His staff is also wonderful and very helpful. I can thank them enough! I proudly recommend him to all my family, friends and colleagues.
